Dear Friends,

Welcome.  Come and see what God is doing in Whitewood, South Dakota.  What can a letter to you, the first time viewer of our church, do to spark your interest in our church family.  I would venture to say with all the stresses and the busyness of your lives, going to church may be difficult and trying to spark your interest may be difficult also.  But you were led here and you are looking, so praise God and may God Bless you in your search. Continue to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. 

We, at Black Hills Baptist church, are a family of believers God has placed here to reach our community for Him.  We want to win them to Christ, grow them in Christ, and then send them out for Christ.  We preach the Gospel of Jesus and teach Biblically based doctrine.  We make no appologies for telling others that they need a Savior and then after that, they need to grow in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Friends we are only here a short time and it is our job to share the gospel and make disciples, teach them, and then send them out.  It is Gods desire that all should come to know Him, but who will tell them? It is up to US.

Our church services are designed to help each person to come into the presence of theFather, worship Him and hear a word from Him.  We love our Lord and are great in fellowshipping one with another.  We are a family like all others.  We will lift you up and exhort you to live for Jesus. We have fun at church, yes I said fun!  Why is it that the Christian life is suppose to be somber and solemn.  We serve a living risen Savior and it is fun to be a Christian. Our fellowships are fun and bring about a much needed respit from the day to day grind of being beat down. We lift you up.

So I would like to invite you to come and join us for worship this Sunday morning. As you worship with us, our prayer for you is that you sense the presence of the Lord, and feel the warmth of our fellowship. Come Wednesday night for a season of prayer and Bible study.  Or come Sunday night for in depth study into the Word or God.  Come and worship with us.  It will be like a family reunion.

Think Sunday School is Just for Kids? We have Sunday School for all ages including Adults.  Come on Sunday and find out. Be ready to participate in a high spirited discussion and be challenged to dig into the Bible. We start promptly at 9:00 am. Feel free to bring a friend. Come at 8:45 am for fellowship beforehand.                  Men's Impact One conference @ Calvary Baptist Church in Rapid City was great.  Dr James Merritt was the keynote speaker and we had 6 men from our church go. We learned in order to be an impact 1 man we had to GEL.  Be a giving man, a man of encouragement and a leader.  If you missed this 2 day event you really missed a great time of fellowship and learning from God's Word.
